Alberni Street

Vancouver's first downtown core, Gastown is known for its Victorian architecture, quaint cobblestone streets, and the world's first steam-powered clock. Perched atop a hill, Queen Elizabeth Park offers panoramic views of the city of Vancouver. This park features examples of all the native trees found across Canada along with many exotic species, a beautiful sunken quarry garden and the Bloedel Floral Conservatory with its many climactic zones displaying a huge variety of plants and a superb selection of free-flying tropical birds.

Window shopping or making a dent in your wallet, Robson Street will hit the spot. The main retail shopping area starts around Granville Street, behind Hotel Vancouver, at Nordstrom department store stretching down to Jervis Street. In between, you’ll find most of the major North American fashion brands, along with a lively mix of sporting goods, accessories, homewares, beauty and wellness purveyors.
