Artists in Residence

This summer, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is pleased to welcome local artists to The Studio at the Castle for live painting sessions. Located near the Hornby Street entrance, the bright studio space will be shared by two talented local artists, giving guests a front-row view of their creative process and inspiring works.

Featured artists include:

  

  • Olga Rybalko, a Ukrainian-Canadian artist known for blending visual beauty with thoughtful storytelling to create work that is both engaging and intellectually resonant.
  • William Higginson, whose work is created to provoke thought, evoke emotion, and encourage viewers to look inward through the deeply personal lens of artistic interpretation.
  •  Marney-Rose Edge,  is a Vancouver based artist who paints fragility finding the beauty with an air of romance. Her subject matter over the years has included florals, nests, seascapes, animals, and landscapes.  

From June 3, 2026 through early August, these artists will rotate through the space, creating beautiful works in front of guests. Since you never know who will be in the studio on any given day, we invite you to stop by often, say hello, and experience the art firsthand.

The Studio at The Castle is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
